Each time I do my nails, it’s a new challenge. What can I do that’s different from what I’ve done before? What can I do that is good enough to see on my nails for days on end? I’ll be honest: I get bored very easily. Once something becomes common, it is no longer interesting.
Just as well my foil collection is underused.
And what is more underused than an in-your-face mandarin glitter foil? Well, for me, anyway. Let’s just say that Mish and orange have never seen eye to eye. That all changed with this nail art.
I kinda almost like orange.
It has certainly made an appearance in my wardrobe as a result.
Oh, and let me stop you right there. There’s NO WAY I managed those straight foil lines without some assistance. Meet my friend Scotch tape. A very handy tool, often in the production of straight lines. Or…mostly-straight. Foil has a habit of ignoring my clean edges.
For such a simple design, it has the strange ability to look both casual and elegant. It gives off the illusion of complexity. Is it the foil? The glitter? The colour so seldom seen on me? Who knows.
What I do know, is that this nail art rocks.
