What is nail art? Most people would say decorative or elaborate art on nails. Which, technically, is true. But most people forget that just plain nail polish can also be considered nail art. Although typically relegated to swatch posts, plain polish nails can really WOW people.
So. Where would I start? I’ve never actually counted my nail polish collection – an oversight I should remedy with all haste – but there are quite a few colours to choose from. From cremes, to crellies, to metallics, to shimmers, to glitters (alas, no straight jellies that I can spot). Which did I want to use for my mani?
In all honesty, I can’t remember why I chose red and black. I did this mani back in February, and my memory is a little slack. It was probably something inspired by Pretty Little Liars – they tend to have awesome nails on that show.
In any case, I decided to alternate my black and red. Not just on the one hand, but on both. I have a thing for asymmetry, okay?
Well, I think it was a good idea.
And the last nail art must’ve been a sign or something for the Nail Gods to shine on me, for however brief a time: look how smoothly the polishes applied!!! I mean, I rarely have a problem with air bubbles and whatnot with Inglot polishes, but I’m still so stoked to look down at my nails and see perfection.
Hey, it’s not like I can say that often! Gotta lap up the goodness while it lasts.
So glossy, too! A winner all around ^_^
