With the arrival of the second Hunger Games movie, it’s time I continue my HG nail art collection. But before I get stuck into the Districts, I needed to try a new purchase of mine to represent the second movie: large sunset-coloured glitter.
It’s a kit by BYS, with an included orange nail polish to cover the gaps between glitter. It works exactly the same as caviar nails, only, less scratchy. And marginally less messy. I think I much prefer this stuff over the microbeads (what a nightmare they were…).
(*ack!* The light and colours makes my skin look deathly pale here…)
Of all the times for my camera to finally decide to take a sharp and clear picture, it had to be the one time I didn’t want it to -____- What you see in some of these pictures (i.e. the one above) is not what my nail art really looks like. You don’t see every individual piece of glitter. It’s more of a bright, bold flash of colour.
Also, most of these photos were taken before I’d done a proper clean up of the glitter around my cuticles; I was afraid I’d do more harm than good, so I got in and took my pictures early. Hence, the messy look.
Very appropriate for nail art representing Katniss Everdeen, the Girl on Fire!
